INTERNATIONAL WALK TO SCHOOL MONTH
Thank you for helping us to celebrate International Walk to School Month
It was wonderful to see so many of you getting out to walk, wheel, cycle, scoot, hop and skip to school this October!
If you missed out on the action, the good news is that our free resources are suitable for any time of year. For teachers, our walking and wheeling diary is a great way for pupils to write or draw about their journey to school and it's aligned with the curriculum. And families can try out our ever-popular Autumn Street Safari, a free, downloadable scavenger hunt to help put some pizazz into autumn walks.
Living Streets would love to hear what you get up to on your walks to school. Share your stories with us on social media, tagging @livingstreets and using the hashtag #WalkToSchool.
Explore the benefits of walking and wheeling at your school
Living Streets can help children enjoy the many benefits of walking and wheeling to school.
WOW is our walk to school challenge, a pupil-led initiative where children self-report how they get to school every day using our interactive WOW Travel Tracker.
WOW schools see 59% fewer car journeys to the school gates and 18% more journeys walking and wheeling all the way to school*.
