INTERNATIONAL WALK TO SCHOOL MONTH

A group of pupils walking to school

October is International Walk to School Month, when pupils around the globe celebrate the joys of walking and wheeling to school.

Last year, we went on an Autumn Street Safari! Children and their parents and carers took a few minutes on their walk to school to collect special items and celebrate autumn with some fun activities. We danced around mushrooms, juggled with pinecones, made up some spooky stories... Thank you to shoezone for providing last year's prizes!

Below are some highlights of what we got up to, along with some free resources for you to use all year-round to help jazz up your walk to school.

We’re all very excited for this year’s International Walk to School month and would love to hear what you get up to on your walks to school when the seasons change. Share your stories with us on social media, tagging @livingstreets and using the hashtag #WalkToSchool.
