Join the biggest walk to school challenge in the UK and support your pupil's health and wellbeing. With over 2,000 schools taking part each year and more than 20 years' experience delivering walk to school initiatives, we'd love to have your school on board this academic year!

What is WOW?
WOW rewards pupils for walking, wheeling, cycling and scooting to school with collectable badges. Children self-report their journeys and the results speak for themselves. For more on WOW, step this way.

WOW can start to turn that around by helping more families choose to walk or wheel to school instead. As well as the increased walking rates and the drop in cars at the school gates, there are other perks to taking part in WOW…

Our brand new 2026/27 WOW theme!
Every year, WOW and its badges follow a different, fun and educational theme. This academic year, we asked pupils to ‘Walk the Senses’ and draw what they can see, hear, smell, touch or taste as they walk to school.
All the pupils ran with the theme, showing us the joy they get from seeing pigeons, smelling fresh sunflowers and drinking hot chocolate as snow crunches on their walks to school.
