walking and staying active during lockdown
This page is for all college and university students.
#walkingfromhome
Life is different in lockdown. Colleges and university buildings have closed, teaching has gone online and loads of us are suddenly living back at home with family.
We’ve created this space to help you keep active during this difficult time. Walking helps reduce stress and boosts feel-good hormones. It’s a great way to take a break and look after your own wellbeing. Get outside, get the benefits, and share your walks with us!
We'll be releasing new resources and fun materials on a regular basis, so keep coming back for more.
At the moment, the Government says we’re allowed to leave the house for exercise – and this includes walking. Please make sure to keep at least two metres away from others and wash your hands when you get home.
Build your own energising, relaxing, mood-boosting walks, using Living Streets’ Walking Randomiser.
Set your mind on a path to calmness and happiness by taking a walk each day. Use our seven-day journal to write about your walk and how it made you feel.
Go for a walk and post a hug to a friend or family member using our colourable, printable, sharable artwork.
While you’re walking, you could phone a friend and check how they’re doing. You don’t have to have all the answers, just listening is amazing.
Thanks for giving Living Streets your email address. We’ll keep you updated on our news, campaigns and donating. You can opt out at any time and we won’t share your details. We take the security of your data seriously – read our privacy policy.
