High Wycombe Local Group

High Wycombe Living Streets is for everyone who wants to make our town and its surrounds more pleasant, safe and accessible for walking and wheeling.

We work to help improve pavements so that walking is enjoyable and becomes the natural choice for short journeys in our town.

We are working with local residents, the community boards, local parish councils, Buckinghamshire Council and other like-minded groups. We campaign on key issues including pavement parking, pedestrian safety, air quality and traffic around schools. We want to see more walking routes around the town and improvements to the existing ones such as “Benjamin’s Footpath” and the footpath up Tom Burt’s Hill.

WHAT WE'RE DOING

We publish a newsletter with updates on the group’s activities and hold meetings for residents to share their views and help with our local campaigns.

We are working with local schools and with local communities to find ways of improving the walking experience and increasing the proportion of local journeys made on foot.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

We would like to hear from anyone in the Wycombe area who is interested in joining our activities, has a particular issue affecting walking conditions in their street or neighbourhood or who just wants to find out a little more about High Wycombe Living Streets.

Streets are a public space; help us reclaim them for walking!
