WALTHAM FOREST LOCAL GROUP

The Waltham Forest Living Streets Local Group believes that if we work together, we can promote sustainable travel as an alternative to car use locally and support the government/council/developers to deliver what the residents want.

Our priorities include:

  • Engagement / Awareness Raising
  • Infrastructure Improvements
  • Improving Public Transport Options
HOW TO GET INVOLVED

Waltham Forest Living Streets is looking for people interested in breaking free from the four walls of their homes and concerns and join the monthly well-being walks.

There is no ongoing commitment - it could take up as much or as little of your time as you are able to give. Sign-up now to be kept in the loop and come along to a meeting/event to find out more!

Benefits of walking, talking things out loud, being in groups or strolling alone outside in nature can have a significantly positive impact on someone's mental health.

There will be opportunities to learn more about the local area, its trees, nature and communities.

Suitable for anyone to join, the walk takes a paved route at a casual pace that is suitable for buggies and wheelchairs. You can join us for part or all of the walk, depending on how your mobility is and how you are feeling.

All weathers, all seasons, the walks will go ahead, as a consistent supportive pace for those that feel they need it.
