CYNFFIG ACTIVE TRAVEL LOCAL GROUP

We are an active travel campaigning and participation group based around the Bridgend area.

We are initially looking to cover the villages of Kenfig Hill, Cefn Cribwr, Pyle and Cornelly. In time we are hoping to expand our reach to the region covered by Bridgend Borough Council, and would welcome input from this larger area.

Our aim as a group is to campaign for greater and safer access to walking, wheeling, and cycling throughout the area.

WHAT WE DO

We hope to concentrate on the following issues within our area:

  • More accessible walking and cycling infrastructure within our area.
  • Greater awareness of active travel as an option for short journeys.
  • Education and enforcement of existing travel laws, to enhance the on road experience for cyclists.
  • Organise mass participation events around the borough to build awareness of Active Travel opportunities.
  • Encourage the young people of the area to engage in discussion regarding safety and participation.
  • Build contacts with interested parties and people in the area.
