Walking on the street

We want to see more people walking short, everyday journeys to improve our nation’s health and the success of our towns and cities. Labour’s pledge to invest £10 per head in walking and cycling is a positive step in the right direction. More investment into active travel will be critical in order to achieve the ambitions set out in the Cycling and Walking Investment Strategy (CWIS), which has cross-party support.
