Living Streets wants to create a walking nation, where everybody has the chance to gain from the health and social benefits this simple act can bring. Walking is also a vital ingredient of successful communities. Walkable towns and cities are often more vibrant socially and economically. Living Streets manages innovative national projects, working with schools, communities and workplaces to encourage more people to walk short journeys. WOW, our year-round walk to school challenge, is perhaps the most notable, capturing the imagination of children in over 4,000 schools. We work with local authorities to help them improve streets and neighbourhoods. And with our supporters we campaign for positive change and public policies that enliven our streets.

Join us and together we will create a walking nation.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our Local Impact team. As a Schools Coordinator you will be responsible for recruiting project audiences and act as a key contact in providing support to primary schools participating in WOW, organising the distribution of resources and supporting the implementation of interventions.

Previous experience of working with primary school pupils and staff and excellent communication skills are essential.
