Be a part of our award-winning project Streets Apart, to help older people get more active.

A brilliant new scheme is about to start across Barking, Dagenham, Havering, and Redbridge that will encourage and support people over 65 to get walking. During lockdown, many of us saw our motivation and activity levels drop but as the restrictions lift, now it’s the perfect time to set new goals and get out into the fresh air.

Living Streets’ Streets Apart project arranges weekly walks for over 65’s of varying walking ability. For some, the project will simply help build the confidence to go to the local shops, while for others it will be enjoying social time while striding along, building physical resilience. Whatever level you are at, we can take you with us.

Thanks to continued City Bridge Trust funding, our new project builds on the success of our previous award-winning Streets Apart project in Redbridge, and aims to secure long-term sustainable benefits for older people across Essex.
