Transport for London has announced the results of their survey about alterations to bus services in Central London. The proposed changes are a response to shifting patterns of travel, including people switching to walking.
Steve Chambers, Policy and Research Coordinator, Living Streets, said:
“We welcome changes to the bus network in central London to provide a more reliable service and reduce air pollution.
"Planning for fewer buses on Oxford Street reflects changes in demand and is an important first step towards creating a world-class public space for Londoners and visitors to walk and enjoy”
The changes will be implemented from summer 2017.
