Jenni Wiggle, Senior Director for everyday walking charity Living Streets, has been named a winner of the Everywoman awards in transport and logistics.

The awards, now in their 12th year, recognise the efforts of woman within the transport and logistics sector in the UK.  For 2019, the awards programme witnessed two winners per category – one industry ‘Leader’ with a breadth of experience and one individual at any stage of their career, who is going ‘Above and Beyond’ in their business sector.

Wiggle was shortlisted in the Leader category of the Customer/Passenger Award; for women who excel in their role for customers/passengers in transport, logistics and freight. Jenni was up against two other finalists from Lothian Group and Momentum Transport.

The winners were announced at a special awards ceremony in London on 13 June 2019 at the Grosvenor House hotel.

Jenni Wiggle award

Commenting on her award win, Wiggle said: “I’m absolutely thrilled and delighted to have been selected winner for the Leader in the Customer/Passenger Award category. These prestigious awards recognise women who are playing crucial roles within today’s transport and logistics sector.”

Jenni is responsible for over 60% of Living Streets staff, overseeing programme delivery, and local income and influence activity across England and Scotland. In recognition of her leadership contribution at Living Streets she was promoted to Senior Director in June 2018, simultaneously taking interim responsibility for Policy and Communications during a period of department leadership change. Her adaptability to oversee this department provided stability in a period of uncertainty and was greatly appreciated by staff, management and the Board.

Joe Irvin, CEO of Living Streets said: “It’s fantastic Jenni’s hard work has been recognised in this prestigious, national award, and that walking is recognised for the important role it plays in the sector. Jenni actively encourages other women to succeed and speaks out for equality in the workplace.”
