Living Streets Cymru is working with local residents to explore ways to make the streets in Plasnewydd, Cardiff better for walking. Plasnewydd is already a great place to live and visit. But how can we make it even better for people walking and cycling?

As part of a new project with Cardiff Council – Streets for Health – we will explore ways to improve this vibrant area of the city for walking and cycling.

This project will look at the issues that matter to you, so whether you want to make changes to car parking, speeding traffic, pavement maintenance, streets lighting or simply want more places to stop and rest, make sure you get involved and tell us your views.

Cardiff Council has recently published its Transport Vision to 2030 ‘Changing how we move around a growing city’ with a commitment to rolling out a ‘Streets for Health’ initiative across the city.  This approach would enable our city’s streets to become healthy, green, safe and child-friendly spaces and encourage more walking and cycling.  Streets for Health is run in partnership with Living Streets and Mark Drane from Urban Habitats and supported by Cardiff Council and it will collect the views of residents in Plasnewydd on this approach.
