Living Streets and North Lincolnshire Council’s Health Improvement Team recently launched a photography competition for all North Lincolnshire schools participating in Living Streets' Walk Once a Week (WoW) scheme.
Pupils were asked to take a picture of something they see on their walk to school and write a short statement about their photo.
The pupils have been taking part in WoW since September 2015 and enjoying the benefits that walking has brought to their health and alertness at school. The photography competition gave them chance to celebrate the other bonuses of walking to school, such as seeing things they wouldn't see up close from the car window.
After looking through the entries received, three photos stood out and were deemed the joint winners. The three winners all received a canvas print of their photo and a £20 high street shopping voucher.
Congratulations to the three winners: Megan from Crowle Primary School, Daniel from Wrawby St Mary's CofE Primary School and James from Brigg Primary School.
