Living Streets Cymru is part of Car Free Day in Cardiff on Sunday 12 May 2019, 10am-4pm.

Come and join us as we reimagine a future city - designed around people and not vehicles.

Children walking

Living Streets Cymru is taking over a part of the city that is normally taken up with cars, congestion and exhaust fumes.

Instead there will be space to walk, rest, talk and enjoy the quiet, clean city.

We can all reimagine what our city would be like when designed for people not vehicles.

What's in store?

Living Streets Cymru will be sited alongside Child-friendly Cities on the astroturf along Castle Street between 10am and 4pm.

Come along between 1-2pm when we will be joined by Caro Wild, Cardiff Council Cabinet Member for Strategic Planning & Transport. This is your chance to quiz Caro on how we can make Cardiff's streets fitter for walking. So if you're interested in improving the streets in your neighbourhood - this is the session for you.

Join us for a led walk into Car Free Cardiff - details below.

Rhiannon Hardiman, Living Streets Cymru Manager

Car-free Cardiff is set to be bigger than ever and as usual takes place during Living Streets' National Walking Month. Together with Living Streets Cymru, I'm looking forward to getting ideas from residents on how we can create family friendly streets across the capital"
