THE UK CHARITY FOR EVERYDAY WALKING
Pavement parking, street clutter, and badly-place electric vehicle charging points are just three issues which can make our pavements inaccessible.
Our new action packs will help you take action in your local area to protect our footways.
Write to your councils and local newspaper, and let's reclaim our pavements!
Living Streets' Charles Maher Award - Walking Champion 2019 recognises the contributions of individuals and groups who do the most to improve their streets and get people walking.
And nominations for the 2019 prize are now open.
This year marks our 90th anniversary.
We hope you will join us as we look back at our early successes, the strides we have taken to improve our streets and inspire people to get walking - and the ones we have yet to take.
As Living Streets is celebrating its 90th anniversary, we're giving Walk to School Week a special spin in 2019.
The week will take pupils on a special walking journey, retracing the steps of our greatest achievements over the course of our 90 years.

Pupils in Wales will be able to benefit from getting active on the school run from 6 February 2019 as we launch WOW - our year-round walk to school challenge - in Welsh and English.
You can follow our launch event in Cardiff on Twitter.
Walking is man's best medicine
A generation ago, 70% of us walked to school – now it’s less than half.
We want to reverse this decline. We want children to be energised and empowered, and to make walking to school their natural choice.
And we know just how to do it.
