Help us campaign for change across Scotland

You can campaign with us to create safe, attractive and enjoyable streets, where people want to walk! This can range from pressuring councils to keep their pavements free of trip hazards and obstructions, to advising central government on how best to formulate their transport budget to encourage people to walk more.

You can get as involved as little or as often as you like. The first step is to sign up for our monthly enews, which will keep you up to date on all our activities and how you can join in.

If you want ideas on where to start campaigning, take a look at our main policy areas below:

  • Dropped kerb parking: Write a letter to your local paper or MP.
  • Icy pavements: Our pavements could be safer for everyone this winter. Join our campaign for better planning for people on foot.
  • 20mph: The streets where we live, work, and play would be safer with a 20mph speed limit. Add your street to this campaign.

  • Pavement Parking: There are 28 million cars on the streets of the UK, and for 90% of the time each one of these will be parked. Most drivers are considerate, but there is a sizeable minority of motorists who choose to park on the pavement.
