Hexham is a pretty, vibrant market town. It has a magnificent abbey and lovely theatre within a few metres of each other right in the centre of town. School Travel Plans have recently been drawn up by the High School and one of the two Middle Schools in the town. Moves are afoot to improve signage in Hexham. Some pedestrianisation has been trialled and a general review of the town centre in ongoing.

Our local Contact is Christina Auld. Christina recently moved to the north east from Cheshire. By liaising with the council, police, Sustrans and the Civic Society, she hopes to make the town more accessible, safe and pleasant for people on foot and on cycles. If there are others in the area who would like to form a branch, Christina would love to hear from them via Head Office.
