Living Streets in Grassington is represented by a local Contact. Here is his account of the progress of Living Streets in Grassington:

"Gradually progress is being made towards the dreams of the Grassington manifesto of our small group. Bollards in the square now protect this vital part of the town from vehicles. A wooden seat now surrounds a tree in the square and the people sitting there are protected from vehicles by bollards. A paved crossing now runs across a very wide carriageway, and this is in constant use by pedestrians. However, there are still things that need to be done:"

  1. We want to see double yellow lines to discourage parking of vehicles on the paved crossing.
  2. Pedestrianisation of at least part of our lovely cobbled square, currently colonised by parked vehicles
