Clitheroe is an attractive historic town in Lancashire. In common with many towns of similar size, it suffers from a great deal of motorised traffic in a town that was not desined for the motor vehicle.

I am the only Living Streets activist in the town. It would be a great boost to have more members and supporters - and I'd really love to form a branch if other people would like to work with me to create living streets in our town!

Latest News from Clitheroe

As the only Living Streets members in the town to date, I have found it most effective to work through "Clitheroe The Future", a local partnership seeking funds for improvements via the Market Towns initiative. The Partnership recently persuaded Ribble Vale Borough Council to join forces with Lancashire County Council to commission a Living Streets audit. Some of the recommendations from the audit are already being implemented and we look forward to seeing even more improvements in the future.
