Living Streets 80 birthday photographic competition
On Thursday 13 August, national charity Living Streets turned 80 years old. On that day, we asked people around the UK to take a photograph that captures the essence of a street they know, to help us build up a picture of our streets in 2009.
We've now chosen our winners, and boy was it a hard decision to make...the standard of entries was great, and in the end we went for two entries that capture completely different images of people making use of their local streets.
Winner One - Mrs D Giles, Bolton
Winner two - Gemma Boyle, Bathgate
Other great entries

Young people getting active in Sandwell, by Lyndsey Richmond
