British children are more familiar with being strapped into a car seat than putting on a pair of trainers and going for a walk, according to national charity Living Streets at the launch of Walk to School Week (21-25 May). Parents are risking the health and wellbeing of their kids by relying on the car rather than taking to their feet.

From 14-18 May thousands of employees from over 1,500 work places across the country will be strolling out of their offices and walking home from work. They’ll also be walking to work, walking during their lunch breaks and hosting walking meetings with their colleagues as part of Walk to Work Week.
