BackRomance your way to safer streets

Are you looking for or already know about a picturesque walking spot? Or are you looking for the ideal romantic spot to spend an afternoon? If so, Romantic Ribbons wants you to share and indulge in places loved by you, places within our towns and cities that inspire and connect you.

In partnership with Living Streets, Romantic Ribbons wants you to write descriptions of settings as though you are that space enticing us to visit you, or write about how you feel when you visit this place of romance. The area could be an idyllic spot, a picturesque place, a lovely walk or a charming city space that catches you by surprise unexpectedly.

Romantic Ribbons will be present at the London Festival of Architecture from 19 June-4 July, where an exhibition of postcards will be on display, as well as opportunities to take part in ‘walk shops’ for participants to discover how to make places more romantic. Visit www.lfa2010.org/index.php for more information.

Living Streets work to create safe, attractive and enjoyable streets, where people want to walk. We know that places can inspire romance and happiness, positive emotions that can only be harnessed when we feel safe and secure walking our streets. For details of our campaigns to make streets more attractive and enjoyable visit our www.livingstreets.org.uk/takeaction

From the Jubilee Bridge in London, to The Floating Harbour in Bristol, Romantic Ribbons wants to hear from you. Visit www.romanticribbons.net to see what other postcards have been written, and to submit your own.
