Getting children more active

Walk to School is one of Living Streets' popular campaigns to get more children active.

Walk to School Week takes place 17-21 May. You can get your school to take part now. Tell them about our campaign and they can even order resources like posters and stickers to get students in the mood for walking.

George Spicer School is one of hundreds of schools that take part every year. The school used our Walk to School resources to get children enthused about walking and to provide incentives to walking.

"Last year we bought the Walk to School week posters and flyers to publicise the event to our school community," said Deputy Head Teacher, Rebecca Southgate. "The wallcharts were great for helping the teachers to keep a record of who took part and the stickers certainly worked as an incentive, as 100% of pupils joined in!"

Visit the Walk to School website to find out more about how your school can get involved.
