BackExplore London streets

The Cut in SE1 will be hosting a very unique outdoor adventure game on Sunday 04 July with participants facing clues and puzzles to discover the hidden gems of the local area.

This fun free event, ‘Adventures in the Cut’ is hosted by the national charity Living Streets and marks the final day of the London Festival of Architecture. Budding adventurers are invited to join the adventure at the Young Vic, The Cut, SE1 on Sunday 4th July from 11am.

The adventure game is technology fuelled and will encourage people to get fired up about their urban environment. Adventurers will use mobile phones, cameras and most importantly, their imaginations, to compete for the title of ‘Champions of the Cut.’

Living Streets are hosting the adventure game as part of a project to get more people walking in specific areas of London. Funded by London Councils, Living Streets will work alongside Local Authorities, communities and businesses in London to promote the better use of recently improved walking environments. Adventure in the Cut is one of a series of activities happening in the local area to celebrate the recent improvements in the area and to encourage people to walk more in their local surroundings.

Tony Armstrong, Chief Executive of Living Streets said:

‘‘Helping people to rediscover and enjoy their streets and get out walking more is a really important part of the work Living Streets does. Getting involved in activities like this are a brilliant way of exploring your local area on foot. There are so many benefits to walking, not just to make the roads less congested and polluted, but to develop more of a community as you get to know your local area better. We are really excited about this event and encourage local residents to come down and join us.”

Why not get together with your friends and enter the challenge as a team?
