Back20mph for Islington

Good news from Islington, where our local group reports a big step forward for 20mph limits in the borough.

Islington Living Streets Chair Caroline Russell says:
"Islington has now consulted all residents on the new 20mph limits on all residential roads not yet covered by 20 mph zones.  The consultation response was positive and councillors at all four Area Committees have voted for going ahead with implementation.  They are looking to implement in the new year once signs have been procured.

"We are now focussing on building a concensus of opinion around 20 mph for borough strategic roads (main roads controlled by Islington not TfL) where people live, shop, work and go to school."
