Request a visit from London Living Streets Green Man

London Living Streets Green Man can come and visit a junction near you.

In return, all we ask is that you help publicise the campaign by word of mouth and by involving local media when London Living Streets Green Man comes to visit.

Now

  1. Read this page to make sure you know what's involved.

  2. Find a junction and submit it as a case study with as much detail as possible about the problems people face.

  3. Then contact us to agree a convenient date and time for London Living Streets Green Man to come and visit.

Before the visit

  1. We will work with you to produce a press release containing all the important information. We suggest adapting our template so that it reflects the problems you face at your junction, with quotes from local people.

  2. We ask that you spend a couple of hours making sure the local media know about the event. This simply means sending an email and making a follow up call to the newsdesk. You'll need to gather the contact details of your local media.

  3. You may want to consider inviting people who can help raise awareness locally, like a headteacher or even a local celebrity if you know one. Also, you might like to invite local councillors who are responsible for your area or who have overall responsibility for transport in your borough. We can help you with this if you need advice.

On the day

  1. We ask that you organise at least four other adults to help out. One with a digital camera to take photos and the others to hand out 'Where are they all?' postcards and to get passers by to sign the petition.

  2. As soon as the event is over please send the press release to any local papers who weren't able to send a reporter to the event. This time attach your photos.

  3. At this stage, as well as local papers, we hope that you will be able to contact local community newsletters and websites. Be sure to send us your photos as well so we can add them to this website.
