Help us campaign for change across the UK
Living streets actively campaigns for changes to create safe, attractive and enjoyable streets, where people want to walk. This can range from pressuring councils to keep their pavements free of trip hazards and obstructions, to advising central government on how best to formulate their transport budget to encourage people to walk more.
You can get as involved as little or as often as you like. The first step is to sign up for our free e-newsletter, which will keep you up to date on all our activities and how you can join in.
Our Campaigning tools allow you to take part in creating local change. Our main campaigns:
- 20mph: Living Streets wants a speed limit of 20mph on all of the streets where we live, work, and play.
- Pavement Parking: There are 28 million cars on the streets of the UK, and for 90% of the time each one of these will be parked. Most drivers are considerate, but there is a sizeable minority of motorists who choose to park on the pavement.
- Naked streets: shared space and uncluttered streets can improve the pedestrian experience. For more details on our policy, read our full policy pages.
