	<description><![CDATA[As more people sign up for Living Streets' campaign for ice-free pavements, Bath and North East Somerset Council has taken practical action on the ground by launching its Snow Wardens scheme.
The council was able to recruit volunteer wardens across 16 areas, who have received stocks of salt, a hand-driven spreader and appropriate training from the council to help them clear icy pavements in their area.
