JOIN OUR AUTUMN SUMMIT SERIES WEBINARS

Following the success of our 2026 UK Walking Summit, our 'Summit Series' webinars will feature sector experts sharing their work and vision for the Future of Streets.

Our first 'Summit Series' webinar take places on Wednesday 16 September, and will explore how we can create streets that are fit for the future. Sponsored by Nu-phalt Contracting.

The changes we make to our streets today will be with us for decades. The first event in Living Streets' Summit Series will focus on visionary approaches to street design.

Join sector experts as they share their work and vision, in a session to inspire us to be bold, ambitious and hopeful to shape streets for the future where we can all work, play and socialise.

Josephine Yilan Liu

Founder, Transformative Cities and Co-founder, Urban Future

Josephine Yilan Liu is founder of Transformative Cities and co-founder of the Urban Future Global Conference. Working across architecture, cognitive science and urban strategy, she develops ways to understand cities as environments that shape behaviour, norms, trust and what becomes ordinary.

Her work asks how streets, public spaces, institutions and everyday urban defaults can make walking, connection and civic life more likely to take hold. At this webinar, she will bring a cognitive-behavioural lens to the future of streets, exploring how pedestrian-first environments can generate social value, local vitality and more durable public support for change.
